The archaeological Museum.

Paros’ Archaeological Museum. Paros’ Archaeological Museum is placed next to Parikia’s Junior High School. Neolithic findings from the prehistoric settlement of Saliagos islet are exposed there. It also hosts very important artistic achievements of ancient Greece.

Monastery of Panagia Ekantotapiliani.

Paros’ Monastery of Panagia Ekantotapiliani (Virgin Mary of the Hundred Doors). This island gem is widely known not only amongst the religious world. It is located across Parikia’s port and consists one of the most beautiful churches on Cyclades. Actually, we’re talking about 3 different churches; the church of Agios Nikolaos, the ornate church of Virgin Mary and the ancient baptistery.

Parikia’s ancient cemetery of Paros. The cemetery is located on the coast road, close to the port of Parikia. It is a wonderful attraction where you can see tombs of different ages.

The Frankish Castle.

The Frankish Castle of Paros. It is a wonderful attraction located just a few minute walk away from the historic centre of Parikia. In the heart of Paros’ town, you have the chance to journey back some years in time to the 13th century.

Ancient Marble Quarries – Marathi.

Ancient Marble Quarries – Marathi of Paros. An interior road from Parikia to Lefkes leads to Marathi, a nice small and traditional settlement. East of the settlement, there are the ancient marble quarries from where the widely known Parian marble was mined. 

Valley of Butterflies.

The Valley of Butterflies in Paros. Very close to Parikia, just 7 kms away, it is located a very special spot of thick vegetation and many natural elements of exotic flora. The Valley of Butterflies is ideal for nice walks as it is a small park with pathways and steps.

The Venetian Fortress of Naoussa.

The Venetian Fortress of Naoussa in Paros. The partially collapsed castle is located in the old port of Naoussa, reminding the contemporary history of the island. We’re talking about a Venetian castle that was fortress, watchtower and an important landmark for Paros.
